From the afternoon (March 17th) we have been instructed by the Church of England to suspend public worship. Which means that very sadly, we will cancel all our regular services at St Mark's on Sundays and Wednesdays. We are also suspending all activities, such as PCC, Discussion Groups, Knit and Natter, Singing for the Soul, Toddlers, Mini Music and Ladies Chat and Croissants. The church is unfortunately now locked but we will endeavour to offer prayer and pastoral support through these trying times, so please keep in touch and look out for updates through Email, Website and Facebook. For the latest Church of England guidelines go to:
Please see the notice above re: suspension of Sunday Services due to the Coronavirus
(Below are a list of various regular Sunday services during the month. Full details of children's activities (and youth) are on the children's page.
We have a deaf loop for those with a hearing aid. We also have large-print notice sheets and hymn books available. The toilet and baby change is situated near the main entrance of church. Please join us in the hall after the 10am service for tea/coffee. All our proceeds go to Christian Aid.)
We will be live-streaming a service of Holy Communion on Facebook on Sundays at 10.30am - you can find that by going to the Facebook page for "St Mark's Scarborough". Please contact us if you would like a service sheet.
ALL OUR SERVICES AND TALKS CAN BE FOUND HERE.
Dear all We will continue to offer our Sunday service live-streamed on St Mark's Church Facebook Page - the service is at 10.30am and we start to gather from 10.20am. I have attached the reading and hymn sheet for this week as well as the service sheet (which is the same as the last few weeks) For your interest:
Morning Prayer will happen at 9am and Night Prayer will be at 6pm
If you would like to join in please use the these prayers:
-> This is a sheet entitled "Worship at Home" and on there is a liturgy for Morning Prayer and Night Prayer
-> This is a sheet which includes prayers we can pray about the current situation and other prayers which you can use if that is helpful
To aid us in keeping connected we have set up a Whatsapp "Morning Prayer" Group where we simply say hello to each other and then share prayers with each other.
If you would like to join this group please let me know and I will add you on.
If you need help with this or you have no idea what a Whatsapp group is (!!) please do talk to me and I'll be very happy to help you with that - don't worry it is very easy!
