Mike's last service will be on Sunday 27th September at St Mark's Church at 10.30am and it will be live streamed at the same time on the St Mark's Church Facebook page:
We can only accommodate 40 people in church at this service because of the ongoing Covid restrictions, so sadly not everyone will be able to come to this service in person, but if you'd like to attend, then please contact Mike by 12noon on Monday 21st Sept and we'll do our very best to fit you in safely. If more people want to come than can be safely accommodated, it will have to be a case of picking names out of a hat and we very much hope that you will understand if you're not allocated a place.
On the afternoon of Sun 27th we'd hoped to be able to meet with people in person in the church grounds, but given the escalating Covid situation we feel this would be irresponsible. So we're going to host a "Farewell Virtual Tea Party" from the Vicarage at 3pm, on St Mark's Facebook page! It'd be great if you could join us online and help us to go out with a bang!!
We would also love to collect your messages, anecdotes, photos and cards and put them into a big scrapbook. We like getting Facebook comments, but if you could perhaps use the traditional paper and pen to send us a note, we'll be able to collect them together and create a lasting momento to look back on. We've already been sent some lovely cards and messages so please keep them coming.
Finally, although it's always lovely to receive gifts, we'd be delighted if you would like to make a contribution to The Children's Society in our name, either at the leaving service or online.
See you all soon!
